  The park itself is really nice ….. I dont have a 4x4 so i could only drive one trail which was lovely…… unfortunately at the moment not many flowers ( almost none)due to dry weather 30-10-24

  Beautiful place. If you love nature, this is the place in the Namakwa region. The reception was unfavorable though. We were not guided at all. Make sure to always pay cash, although there are swipe facility. Have a camera with, u will need it, trust me. Visit between mid day and 15h30 when the weather is friendly and full sun. Enjoy.

  This reserve exceeded expectations and was a true delight. Not only is the scenery of the reserve vast and beautiful, but there are little bouquets of colour all over and a succulent garden with some rare succulents on show. My favorite flowers were the little yellow ball flowers (clearly not the botanical name) which I think are Grootstinkkruid, but I could be mistaken. These are sprinkled all over and blow so sweetly in the wind, like something out of an Alice In Wonderland story. The staff were friendly and helpful and it is a well maintained reserve.

  We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to Goegap. Arriving at the gate, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They explained the 4x4 route in detail. The facilities are well looked after. The scenery, biodiversity and wildlife are stunning. We found it to be more striking than the Namaqua National Park this year. Definitely aim to spend an entire day here when planning to do the 4x4 route. We are planning to go back for an overnight stay. There isn’t much information available online about the park- reservations need to be made via phone call.

  We did the 2 day overnight hike in flower season and it was great. The staff were a bit unprepared and didn't have a detailed map of the hike or explained the route markers very well so when we got to a hilly section close to the end of day one finding the trail was almost impossible. Distances were also about 2km longer each day than advertised. We also had to self-discover how to switch on the solar electricity inverter at the overnight hut, and most gas showers didn't work properly.
